Benefits that reflect the connectional Church
- The Benefits Plan of the PC(USA) is designed with community nature in mind. We continue to expand eligibility to meet the needs to all who serve the Church and its affiliated organizations, and to reach under-represented communities.
- The Assistance Program of the Board of Pensions embodies our connectional Church at its best through grants to those in need. It is available to all eligible staff:
- Transition to College: up to $3,000 for dependents attending a Presbyterian college or university
- Adoption Assistance: $6,500 per child to eligible family members to help with adoption-related expenses
- Emergency Assistance: a one-time grant that addresses an emergency, such as a natural disaster or unexpected expenses
- Our commitment to service excellence is a defining characteristic of who we are and what we do. Our administrative oversight and fiduciary risk management alleviate your burden and allow you to focus on those in your care. We provide personalized support to you as an employer and to your staff as plan members. The service teams at our vendor partners, such as Quantum Health and Fidelity Investments, undergo Board of Pensions culture training to ensure that our members receive consistent, quality service.
- As a national agency of the PC(USA), our commitment to dismantling structural racism shapes our work at every level. Our Board of Directors provides guidance for the agency. Our CEO has signed a pledge as a part of our formal commitment. A staff council advocates for inclusive practices and monitors our strategic diversity activities to help influence outcomes and foster a sense of belonging.

“The best compliment I can give the Board of Pensions is that I seldom think about you. No employee complaint has reached me in three years.”
